On 22 January 2012, I enjoyed the privilege of speaking to a fine group of folks who gathered at Spring Branch Presbyterian Church. Many thanks to Nina Rach for the invitation, Lori Tischler for the help and enthusiasm, to Heather Hughes for asking for audio, to Jackie Ballesteros for the support in making all the arrangements, to Pastor Laurey Murphy for her beatific smile, and of course to the wonderful folks who listened intently as their eyes lit up.
I hope they (and you, and, for that matter I) find something in Screwtape, new or anew, that will challenge us to authenticity, wisdom, and love as we struggle against the forces arrayed against us and try to live out our faith deeply.
