Little is Much

In Matthew 9: 22 (ESV) “Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, ‘Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.’ And instantly the woman was made well.”

God turned to her. He saw her. He told her to take heart, and He called her “daughter.” And He affirmed that the thing she had wanted for so long had been done in her life. And He pointed not to His own power, but to her faith, which had surely seemed far too minuscule a moment earlier.

But little is much in His hands, and He sees our barely-believing and uses it in an instant to make us well, to make us whole.

So this morning, let us also turn to Him however we can, knowing that He is already turning to us, seeing us, calling us His own, and turning our little scraps of hope into the joy we were always longing for.

  1. Beautifully written, Andrew, and beautifully true. Thank you for the encouragement and inspiration!

  2. These thoughts are so appreciated and received, Andrew.

I had just finished pouring out my very depleted heart/soul to the Lord in my journal when I saw this posting from you.

I am buoyed up. What I needed to “hear from Him’ has come through from you. Thank you for letting Him use you. – Lynn
